During your treatment you will be fully clothed so wear comfortable clothes. Avoid wearing any metal jewelry or accessories because an MRI type magnet is used for this treatment. Wear clothing without metal buttons or zippers. Simply sit on the Emsella chair, and the technology does the work.

This treatment is generally free of side effects. During the procedure, you will most likely experience tingling and tapping, and feel the contractions in your pelvic floor. However, there is virtually no discomfort after the treatment.

Emsella is not ideal for individuals with metal implants in their bodies, metal plates such as hip replacements, pacemakers or IUDs. Clearance from your physician will be required if you have any of these types of implants.

The neuromuscular control regained in the pelvic floor thanks to Emsella treatment can last between 9 and 12 months. Many doctors encourage patients to return for a maintenance session every three to twelve months.
